The story only begins with this daredevil ninja warrior, aimed to defeat every ninja assassin known to man, for he is strong willed and can put on a fight. There is no word can't or won't in the dictionary of Fearsome Flyer, just do it and he will let nothing stand in the way. Like many fighters in this story, he has become immune to pain, its as if he expects it and willingly accepts it. No pain, no gain, at least that's what he lives by, because that's the only way he can physically improve his challenged life. With every super-hero comes a super-villian, and with the birth of Fearsome Flyer comes the punishment of Dr. Phycho,
The way of becoming a hero meant a trade, one that exploded in "The Flyer's" face. In return for a true ninja warior's gear he trades Dr. Psycho his electromagnetism technology. In other words, he sold his soul to the devil. This powerful mob boss lives two lives, a caring psychologist, and by night he is the psycho that he is. Living both lives makes it easy for him to get by with anything, and because of this he is respected in the dark world of South Hauntington Beach.

Step aside X-men, The Avengers, Leage of Justice, or any other current or forming team most likely targeted for 2012. These bold words come from a new approach in the comic universe, one that has been in the shadows, and it can no longer be there because the issue of a disability must be dealt with, not discarded. Just like anyone, they have struggles, but they have gifts too. The disabled are there own unique culture, and they, like everyone else must accept help, because we are all in this together. Look around, our numbers are growing, and like a flame, unity will spread.
The Inferno is a new team, a disabled team, a team who accepts the challenges they confront every day. This series begins with the creation of Fearsome Flyer, hence the word "fear", because this is something Marshal Goyer has overcome at a young age. He is the first of The Inferno, and the only member of the team this post will cover. At a young age, he participated in a science project that changed his perspective on everything. A nail wrapped in wire produced electromagnetism, so he decided to use a sword in wires, and multiply the effects of the experiment,, succeeding in being pulled to metal objects, perfecting flight. Did I mention Marshal is physically disabled. |
