The pen name, Al Holt, is not well known, but after undergoing what I have, you may think twice. At age 11, my life was flipped upside down, in June of '93 I had an AVM hemorrhage (stroke), affecting my balance, fine motor, coordination, vision, hearing, eating, and speaking ability After numerous surgeries, and a lot of effort, i find myself writing this today. I give a lot of credit to my elementary school coach for teaching me never to give up, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here. My outlook on life has totally changed, I live every day like it was my last, and even though I can no longer draw well, I learned how to express art through words. First, I completed a feature film script trilogy about my original crime fighting super human, once learning how to expand my 30 page spec scripts to 120 page super giants of stage direction. Recently, I have returned to my spec scripts, and have planned out a 13 show origins season, only after spending 3 years almost continuously writing. I wanted to put my crime fighter in comic book form, but I achieved more than just that, 11 original graphic novel titles and a book surfaced. I am writing because these projects lack funding, I started these projects because a musician in Australia who battles chronic pain convinced all of this, the topic, the message, could positively affect the world, if I get this out to the general public.
